Aston Martin Works

During the later part of 2019, I was asked by Goodwood Road & Racing to visit the Aston Martin Works factory to document the build process of the Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato Continuation cars. Of course, I agreed to pick up my cameras and make the visit without a single hesitation!

Inside the factory were many amazing cars I never thought I would ever get to see (and wasn’t allowed to photograph, unfortunately) along with three DB4GT Zagatos, which would be my subject for the day. There were two complete cars; a Rosso Maja example and one Lancia blue DB4GT Zagato. In addition, there was a shell painted with primer, a Caribbean Pearl blue one which was close to complete, minus the stark, lightweight interior and a Midnight blue one too. The Rosso Maja example has so far lived its life fulfilling press duties and test drives for journalists, while the dark blue DB4GT Zagato was undergoing quality checks ahead of its delivery. As far as I could see, there were no differences between these Continuation models and the numerous original DB4GT Zagatos I had seen in the past. The only difference I could notice was the carbon-fibre seats (needed to pass safety regulations) and just how immaculate they were! Below are my images from the visit to Aston Martin Works in Newport Pagnell. Enjoy!
