DK Engineering

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to visit DK Engineering and have a look around their amazing inventory of cars, many of which are presented in a gallery, with a wide selection of cars from an ultra-rare Ferrari 166MM Competition Berlinetta to an MGA Twin-Cam Roadster which was raced at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1965. Only a handful of these MGAs touched the tarmac in this gruelling race, of which, all have been restored except this example which is present at DK Engineering, showing all of its war wounds proudly. As you can probably see by the collection of images, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Competizione particularly caught my attention, I had never seen a car so beautiful and striking, so much so that I couldn't resist trying to photograph every angle possible. However amazing the gallery was, the workshop and restoration room is far from a standard maintenance centre, everywhere you look in the workshop is immaculate, surrounded by the most impressive of restoration projects. A perfect example of this is the famous "RON 54" Ferrari 250LM shell being painstakingly restored after being stripped to a raw shell and two race-ready Ferrari F40s, one sporting the LM variant kit which has worn many liveries over its extremely successful racing career, which was sitting to the side in the workshop area.

I hope these images do the cars and their surroundings justice. A huge thanks to DK Engineering for letting me visit!
